CEO and Founder
Junyang Woon is the CEO and Founder of Infinium Robotics. Prior to starting Infinium Robotics, Junyang has served as a Naval Officer for 7 years after winning a full four-year scholarship from the Republic of Singapore Navy to study at Stanford University and University College London.
Coming from a 40-year old traditional family business, his business acumen was honed since young in the business. He strongly believes that it is his calling to strike it out himself in the disruptive technology sector. Junyang provides the strategic thinking and vision for the company as well as 1001 things for the company.
Chief Technology Officer
Alejandro is the CTO of Infinium Robotics. Possessing a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Navarra (Spain) and a Masters degree in Data Communications from the High I.T. Training Center of Madrid, he is also an alumnus of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (Spain), where he achieved his degree in Information Systems with Honors.
With more than 11 years of experience in the management of engineering and technological events companies and 13 years of information technology management, Alejandro possesses multifaceted knowledge in the fields of robotics and drone technology. Prior to joining Infinium Robotics, he spent 10 years in the Multinational, Honeywell, (Industrial and home automation sector) as Information Technology Director for Spain & Portugal, 3 years for IBM as Service Manager in the Outsourcing Division, 9 years for Quark Robotics as founder and CEO and 2 years at IXION Industry & Aerospace as Drones Systems Manager. Currently, he splits his time between being HISPAROB’s Robotics Platform Vice President, and Chief Technology Officer at Infinium Robotics in Singapore.
He is the First President and Founder of the National Robotics and Home Automation Society in Spain (ARDE) and is a researcher in the robotics area, developing several robots that have been shown at different congresses and events around the world (Clawar, Robocity, RoboNexus, Carnegie Mellon...) Alejandro is an Associate Professor at IE Business School (Spain) IT Technology and Innovation, and professional lecturer in creativity, business innovation and robotics areas, as a part of the “Thinking Heads” team of lecturers, the leading Conferencing Platform in Europe; he is published in newspapers and journals, as well as on TV—also writing a book on drones titled Professional Drones. Alejandro is a native Spanish speaker and holds an advanced level C1 certification for English.
Vice President, Aerobatics
Having completed his final year project on the control systems of UAS at Nanyang Technological University(Singapore), Eka joined Infinium Robotics shortly after receiving his Masters in Electronics.
Naming J.R. Tolkien as his favourite author, this avid bookworm spends most of his free time devouring novels.
Gaurav Gupta is an alumni of IIT Kanpur’s Aerospace Engineering department, and he developed autopilot software and hardware platforms for various startups in Bangalore before founding Autobirdz Systems, an IIT Kanpur-based startup specializing in surveillance UAS for farm monitoring and surveillance.
Gaurav is the motivating force behind our proprietary in-house navigation system. In his free time, Gaurav enjoys exotic lands, delicatessen, and a good pint of beer while watching the NBA!
